Don't hate on people trying to make money

I don't like it when people say things like "People here are just hanging around to make money!"
Well, sure! But the vast majority of people on mylot are here for participation. Mylot pays back a small portion of the advertising revenue they earn by posting the links you see above.
It's a clever way to distribute wealth and earnings.
Plus, if you live in a country where one cent is a LOT OF CASH, then mylot is a great opportunity to earn!

I was invited here after i got jiped on one of those stay at home and work ideas. I thought it was going to work. But it was soooo hard and confusing to get started. And i wasn't looking for something to replace my full time income. I just wanted a little extra spending money. Business wasn't doing to good so i had alot of down time. And i thought i'm always on myspace anyway blabbing away, i might as well be on here talking to people who share my same interests and make a lil chump change on the side. I find this place just as addicting as myspace. I always wanna hear what other people are thinking or just blab about my crappy day and find out that someone else is having a crappy day too :)

To be perfectly honest with you, mylot doesnt pay enough to cover internet costs. So if you are here to make money i strongly suggest you revise your plan. I find more down the back of my sofa than i can make on here.
Maybe in parts of India, one cent is worth much more than it is elsewhere. But, at the side of our GBP it is a weak currency, hardly worth 45 pence for one dollar now.
Consequently, for anyone outside India on here they cant be here for the money, as the power to run the machine alone costs more than they can earn in that time

Yeah you bring up a good point. Most people on here enjoy participating in the discussions. And yes there are plenty here that are just here for the money. Which is fine by me. I don't care if they are here to just make money as long as they do it properly. The only members that aggravate me by only wanting the money are the ones that don't care about the actual discussions. They respond to discussions with stuff that is totally irrelavent to the discussion just to make that extra cent. Those are the ones that bother me, because even though they don't care about the discussions and want to make that extra cent, many of us actually do care what others have to say.
