A few weeks ago I read about scammers pretending to be PayPal to get our info on a site that looks like PayPal kinda like what they did with a couple of the USA banks a while back this is what it looks like according to y research so please beware and don't click on link in your email but go to the site directly.according to my observation there are
1.No PayPal logo in this email
2.PayPal does not send its mail from new-service@yahoo.com it sends it from service@intl.paypal.com
3.PayPal is not connected to the email they send it to my PayPal email is spam free

I have had a few of those scams come across my inbox and I just forward them to the real Paypal and they deal with them. So if you do see them forward them to Paypal and Paypal will deal with them. I think that people who do that should harness their energy into a legit business where they can make moeny instead of stealing other people's money.

What I think is really sad is that these people sending out these emails dont think they are doing anything wrong and think that they are not going to get in trouble.
I have receieved emails like this before and all I do is since I have robo form I use that to log in. That way I know it is a secured log in. Ten I check my account for any messages and if there arnt any that I know I am fine.

Yep, I've got such emails pretend to be paypal many times. But most of the time I forward them to paypal. To make sure, if that's paypal or not normally I'll go directly on paypal website not by email notifications. And you can see if the line is secure or not by at the webhost which begin with "https:......."
Never ever give your personal information such confirmation code of your credit card/bank info unless you are 100% that the website is really from paypal itself with secure line. Also never ever give any of your PIN code to anyone online except for your own bank.

Good Morning,
I have had these folks do the same thing to me, so I had to call the Pay Pal folks because I had some inconsistencies; so there it is. So, this is what you can do. You will know if PayPal emailed you when they send you an email detailed Dear(Your Name), if that isn't there like Dear PayPal Member, or you get an email with more than ONE email address on there, then you know that it's not legit. Also, the folks at PayPal said that whenever you get these emails, send it to spoof@paypal.com and they will shut them down. That's what I've been advised. hope this helps.

This is exactly like the mail in my inbox, however, i use gmail and they notified me that this email "may be suspicious and may not be from who it claims to be" on the top of the screen so i knew it was a scam
the website link actually said it was from "service@paypal.com" but when i logged on paypal, i didn't find it anywhere they i had to update my info in. So i would just ignore it and mark it as a spam. If you are really concerned, i think it should be reported to paypal that there is some scam out there, putting a bad name on the company, im sure they will do something about it =D

I hate those things, there are so many scams out there! It's a good thing that people let each other know so they can't make too many victims (hopefully).
I've had several spoof/scam mails pretending to be ebay and paypal, I think they are 2 of the most attacked online services nowadays.
Thank you so much for letting us know! I can only advice everyone to read the guidelines on these sites on how to recognize a spoof mail, it does help you out even though sometimes it's still hard to see whether it's true or not.
When I'm not sure, I contact the service directly and ask whether or not they sent the e-mail. Take care!
