Why would I join those money earning sites?

Are they true? Did people here really get paid? I was thinking about join some of them but I'm really afraid to get some virus or trojans. Can anyone tell me about a good one? But I really would like those who pay by Paypal, because I live in Brazil and it's dificult to get paid in other way.
