Indeed, friendster is very popular. With just 4-5 years in operation, it has already millions of members worldwide. But friendster is also a tool of fooling someone. There are many persons out there who pretend to be the one who is in their profile picture. Through the picture, they will gained a lot of friends because people believe that they are the one who is in the picture. A person in the picture who is beautiful, handsome, admirable, etc. As time goes by, you will feel that you have a connection and starting to like him/her. Eventually, you have entered into a relationship with that guy/gal. Then the truth comes when he/she will tell you that the person you see in the picture is not him/her. Oh how Friendster aches! How friendster is a tool of fooling someone!

I agree with you. Friendster can be a tool for pretending. I have 2 accounts in friendster. The first is where I add all my personal friends. The 2nd is what I call a dummy account. I don't put any personal info and photo in my dummy acct for security reasons.
I like playing mmorpg and meet many friends there. The only way we can stay connected is through friendster that's why I created my 2nd acct. After months of playing I started adding different persons but same photos. I was confused who's the real one.

I think its depend on the person.If people is such as investigative and careful he/she cant fool by somebody in the net or anywhere else.Specially when emotions are involved one should be conscious enough for him to not fooled by anyone.Friendster is just giving everybody to meets friends, love or letting anyone to bring out their skills in computers!but its in the person how he used the friendster site or how he interact with the people within it..

Is it? Humm.. for me Friendster is a way for us to connected with people, family, friends. Should friendster to be more secure on people who doing this stuff. Fooling and make someone felt so hurt. I hope all friendsters out there will be honest and be true to your friend. :)

in the net or in the real world out there, there are different kinds of people. people who plays and fool someone else and someone who is played by a fool. if you take the net so seriously it will really make your head ache. there are a lot who can be trusted and there are a lot hat cant be trusted. it is just for you to find out. take care and try to analyze it so you wont get fooled. wink wink
