Would you rather not know the number of guys your gal has slept with??

I'm always curious about the number of guys my girls have slept with, but most of the time, I never ask them this question. Mostly, because despite the curiosity, there's always the fear that her answer won't be pleasant to hear. There's always a chance she'll say a number you were not prepared to hear. I must confess I would be disappointed if a woman of my age (22) told me she had slept with more than, say...five guys.

well i know, my hubby has not been with very many if anything he's mad about the number of people i've been with. so i'm not allowed to talk about any of my previous relationships. it's funny too b/c i know the women that he was with, and lets just say they r not top quality! so i always tease him about how he has been with some u.g.l.y. women!

for me no, because they are the past and i am the present. i would not fill my mind with so many things like knowing their numbers and whereabouts. i just want to enjoy the relationship without having any burden from his past.

Well, i trust my partners words. She told me whatever she had to share about her past. I don't feel anymore need to ask further questions.

It is not relevant for me whether I know or not. It just doesn't get into my mind because what matters for me is the current relationship.

for me i dont ask i am just not intrested in what or who he wwas with before me. i think for guys its a big deal so i don't tell if asked i just say not as many girls you have had.

Your commitment to her and hers to you should be more important than an old relationship. Relationships are built on trust, love and respect, so you must trust your girlfriend to make the right decision. You must love her, otherwise the relationship is pointless.

I know he's been with others. he has a child, so I know very well. But that's all I need to know. We tried talking about it once and he went into some details about 'experiences' with other women. But, to be honest, I really didn't want to hear it. I don't need numbers.

I do know how many and it did not impact my relationship at all....to allow things that happened in he past to influence the present is not the way that we look at things...

I really didnt want to know how many girls that my hubby slept with but he keeps it no secret like it is a jump to his ego that he has slept with as many as he had. He will talk about them from time to time and i really dont care or want to hear about what he did with who when. I got the point that he was with that girl or this girl i dont need to know what exactly they did together. I on the other hand rarely talk about the amount of men i have been with or what we i use to do with them because usualy if there is any mention of any man in my past my hubby gets the LOOK on his face and i avoid the conversation. So apparently he had rather not know who i had been with or how many either but he like me to know his numbers.

in a way i would like to know, cause i'm curious. but.. i'm pretty jealous too. so i dunno what i would choose. it deppends if i want a stable relationship, or if it's only for fun

Personally, I'd like to know how many partners my partner has had. Just to know. Understandably, though, that your boyfriend doesn't want to know how many you've slept with. Hey - he's avoiding a fight by saying that, so I'd thank him for it.
