Have you found that mylot discussions are more usefull than internet searches?

I think that it would stand to reason that you get better help here. People that have actually tried things or done things will be able to give the best information. In this large community I would guess that no matter what you need someone has the answer from experience.

Yes I have found some useful discussions here. I usually end up writing a post for my blog ie in computers or technology discussions

Oh yes I find mylot very helpful. Thats why Im here. I have learned alot of things just being here on mylot. I always get answers to my questions. Its great. If ever in doubt just search in mylot.

Yep, me too! I love to debate one of the reason beside I am an argumentative person by nature is, I have to do research. It's nothing for my opponent to counter me with his or her own findings with sources and I tell ya I can learn a lot from that. I will go and search for this stuff on my own and can never find it (So I can later argue the opposite somewhere else, yeah I have a sickness I know)

I agree that it can be helpful, but you must keep in mind that some people are not well informed and can give you wrong information, so at least you have a second idea to search. I personally love to do searches, because I do not consider myself not that well educated to be an authority on any thing, but myself.

Yes, it's quicker and sometimes the information even more accurate then what you have found on internet .Because some information is come from those real people who has personally gone through the experience instead of the general information on the internet search .

I have found mylot to be more useful than internet searches for many things as well. It's always nice to talk to people who have real experience with something, and often they will be able to supply very relevant links and resources for me. It's gotten to the point where if I have something on my mind, I pretty much come here first. =p I sometimes even refer to mylot as "therapy" for me because I have met people here that have a lot of the same issues I do, and it's been very helpful to me. Rather than searching the internet for webpages that have all the same basic information on them, I've been able to talk to other people about their experiences and what has worked for them in dealing with situations. I suppose for me it's the same thing as consulting offline friends, except with a lot wider variety of experience and cultural influences available.

Not only that, you can also get advice that is personal to your unique situation on Mylot. I have really enjoyed being a part of the Mylot community, I have learned so much.

In my opinion, mylot discussions are one way to get some information, provided sensible responses are made. However, armed with the little bit and pieces, it is much easier to check from the internet. At least, it allows us to filter to narrower scope, rather than moping round and being overwhelmed by information overload.

Oh yes.You are absolutely right.This community is more believable than those unknown websites and blogs which come up on searching the internet.Previously I asked if it was advisable to buy referrals for mylot.I was advised against this idea and now I am better off with saving 50$.Mylot people do not lie.They give the exact details to the questions asked.They pride themselves in giving correct information.Hail mylottians!!!!!!!!!!

There are some very interesting and useful discussions on mylot and it's good that it's interactive. When we have a problem with our computers, I am sure that there are users on here that could answer them, and unlike a search, if we don't quite understand any instructions we can ask.. That's very useful IMO.. :-)

Mylot discussions are more useful than internet searches because in mylot, there are many aged or old friends or users which has suffered already from same problem and have experience about the Problem. The next thing is that many users in my lot are ready to help and can tell about the topic to us

Yes, i find mylot more interesting than searching in the internet, because everyone's talking here any topic under the sun that I could relate with And the good thingg is, your not just enjoying but also you can earn extra income here which urges me more to stay here in mylot. I didn't and never find this website boring..

I haven't done any informational discussions, more like I want to see what people do kind of discussions. I think that getting the opinions of lots of people may be a bit more useful though.

At first it caused me more work. Looking up further some information or idea. Now I hope to regain some of that since if I wrote it down it is gone since the fire. This site does have information and also gives me ideas at times for articles on other sites for better money. I miss my usual friends discussions however as with anything stuff changes and we grow with it.

Sometimes when I have an every day question that can really only be answered by someone who has been there or done that then yes I often find it here.

Mylot discussions are very useful especially if its from those who have personal experiences in whatever question I am asking.

I totally agree with you on this one. I dont even bother to look on the net anymore to find things out i want to know as u said u either can find anything or so much u dont want to have to go through it all to find what u need. I just post a discussion about what i want to know and i get so much more out of it like you said it comes from people who are educated and or experienced in it so i depend on these responses and believe in them more so than what i get of the net to begin with.

When it comes to discussions of experience, mylotters can boast that some members have just the right kind of experience to share. But on discussions of opinions and facts? I doubt if they can surpass thorough research. Most people here speaks without basis. They would generalize without knowing much, judge things within the limited realms of their everyday experiences and hearsay statements. But myLotters, I found, are good at provoking thought, of instilling topics of interests. I've had many questions which I later researched which have been inspired by myLot.

Posting what you are trying to search in the internet here at mylot will be a great help to you. You can get information from other users about a certain topic that you are searching and it will help you a lot. or if you are finding a certain topic and need references you can also ask them for links. I find mylot very useful, not just in earning money but getting information as well.
