August 16th I my husband and mother in law will be boarding a plane to Las Vegas. My mother in law has been there many times, in fact she visits Las Vagas 4-5 times a year, my husband has beem on a plane, when he was young but dosen't remember it and I have NEVER been in one. I am both nervous and excited about this, and even more so about Las Vegas, since I've wanted to go there for years now. How did you feel on your first time on a plane? Did you feel nervous? How did you deal?

I was 7 years old my first time. It can be loud and bumpy, which scared me, but don't worry. Planes are very safe. I heard somewhere that more people are hurt in car accidents than in plane accidents every year. Bring some music or something to listen to to help drown out the noise and to keep you distracted.

First time was at Clacton many years ago, in a 4 seater single engine plane cost me 15 shillings (75 pence [u.k.]) for a 3 minute trip, and I sat at the front beside the pilot, I got a great view. I didn't feel nervous at all. Didn't fly again until 1995 (27 years later) when I had to go to Brighton for a business trip, again, don't think I was nervous, I've had quite a number of filghts now, almost all of them have been on business.
Remember airlines have never ever left a passenger up there. Flying by plane is much safer than crossing a road.
Enjoy your trip.

I flew on a plane when I was a kid. I was nervous and it was alot of fun. In Sept. I am going out to CA. I will be flying again, I am nervous about that too. Just try not to think about it. The trip to Vegas is worth the airplane ride. Have fun and I hope you win big.

Wow, your first time on a plane? Really? I guess you don't travel much. I've been flying since I was knee high to a grasshoper. So I can't tell you about the first time because I was so young.
But even now, an experienced flyer, I get nervous sometimes. I just close my eyes and try and relax. Maybe I'll read a book or just sleep. I find sleeping helps to pass the time.
Just remember before you go you may want to check your airlines for the latest travel restrictions. What you can and can not pack. Also be sure to wear shoes that can come off easily at security.
Good luck and have fun!
