I don't know why but my earnings are only $0.02. I've responded to 9 questions and started 2 discussions. I just dont get it. My answers were really long too. Do any of you get bored with this? It just doesn't seem like it's worth it to me. I would rather write on AC and at least get paid $3-$4 an article. It seems more fair doing that.

If you respond to a bunch of discussions and get good ratings, it becomes easier to earn money. Their system doesnt give everybody a set amount of money. This means you will have to have people press the little + sign by your comments and discussions. Once you get a better rating, earning becomes easier.
By the way, what is AC? Do you have to write and submit articles for something? What do the articles need to be about?

Oh, I almost forgot. Did you make all of those comments and discussions all at once? the system updates around 9 AM Eastern time. maybe you made one or two comments last night then a couple after it updated. I can help you by rating you, but only if its good! ;-)

AC stands for Associated Content. You can just about write about anything, as long as it stays with in their terms. Though not everything will be accepted for payment, and it takes a fairly long well written article to even be considered for payment, or so my experience with Associated Content has been. If you wish to check out the site for yourself you can go to http://www.associatedcontent.com . Personally it's a real pain in the rear if you aren't one that enjoys writing articles all that much.

AC stands for associated content. You can write articles and submit them for payment and if they are approved they usually pay around $3-$8 an article. I have wrote 4 articles and have been paid $22.52. The articles can be news stories about health, parenting, and other things that will interest people. I did submit all my responses this morning around 2 o'clock. I'm new and don't understand why I'm not making but a couple of pennies but you've helped me out some.

The main thing that you need to know is that myLot pays in pennies. Generally it's one cent a post, but if you indeed write long replies often (say at least 5 to 6 lines) and make them worth reading then your earnings should go up. Good quality posts and discussions will earn you positive ratings, which will make your reputation go up (it'll be viewable as a star with a number in it next to your name once you reach 100 posts) which should also raise your earnings, although I'm still not entirely sure aif this really works this way.
If you start a dicussion and manage to get lots of good replies then you're paid for that. You could upload photos (preferably photos you've made yourself) as you're paid for that, too. Lastly, earnings are only updated the day afterwards. So you might think you've only earned 2 cents, but this doesn't yet include all the posts you made today - you'll see those earnings tomorrow!
Hope this helps :)

Here we go again. I often try to talk people into staying with mylot. Mylot only pays in pennies and you will often feel like it is not worth it but when the end of the month comes you will be excited to see the money in your account. I usually pull between $10- $30 without my referrals. My referrals will usally only make me a small amount fo money. If you stick with it and write a few topic starters for yourself and answer others discussions then you will build yourself up. You can keep track fo how many you started and answered by the number next to your name. The pay earnings will rotate once a day so you may not see your earnings until the next day and I usually won't see them until around noon time, I guess it is because of the time difference. I also use mylto to tell people about the articles that I have written on AC so that it will help to get more page views. Some people will visit them and others won't. So, this can help you out for both mylto and AC. Lot's of luck to you and I am going to be writing a psot in my blog about more ways to make money on Mylto. I will try to keep you updated on this. Lot's of Mylot love.

Most the time it really doesn't go on the length of a response or discussions started. As long as you stay within the discussion topic and have it written out fairly well than you can see your earnings start to climb a little.
With the discussion started issue I believe it goes only on the first response to each discussion started, but that is just hear say, so I am not one hundred percent certain about that.
However, I can say it does take a fair amount of time to get up to whatever payout limit you have set for yourself. If you ignore the money factor of this forum, it can turn into a rather enjoyable experience. That is if you like conversing on a forum type layout.

My earnings for yesterday weren't quite what I expected either. I had posted 2 discussions and answered a ton of other discussions and only made 28cents. I don't know how they figure it out.

It depends on your writing and rating. If you recieve good ratings then you will earn more. It's up to how one sees your performance here. AC is a good site but they have to approve your article. I've tried it and I have yet to have one approved. Dont worry, keep trying here. Eventually you will earn more than what you have, it takes time.

It only pays for U.S. citizens but if you are and you want to write just make sure it's informational. Sort of like a health article or a how to article. They like those. I'm new there also but I've been paid for my submissions. The link is www.associatedcontent.com Hope this helps you!

I think the reason you have only made 2 cents is because most of you posts were made after 12 am this morning. The daily "cut-off" each day is at midnight. Your earnings are updated only once each day (usually around 9am EST) to reflect the contributions from the day before.
Of course, you do still only get paid a few cents per post, so you are right that writing for AC will probably make more money for you, in this case. However, you can use waht you learn from discussions here to write your articles, so you sort of get paid for your research time as well.
Good Luck.

I would wait til tomorrow and see what your earnings are after they update them. I do know that there is a cutoff time that is different from when they actually update the earnings. I don't know what time that is, I have heard different times. But I live in Florida and here I think it is sometime in the early morning around midnight/1am. So if you posted anything around the time of the cutoff then it may not have been counted this morning when they updated and you may very well see it on tomorrows update and earnings. Did that make sense? I hope it did and best of luck.

Yes it did make sense. I was wondering what was going on because I usually post at night. Mostly after midnight It's usually when my kids are asleep.

Hello. Maybe you were paid 2 cents for the 2 discussions started by you... I dont even think we earn when we respond to comments or responses made on discussions we've started...

Well if you are planning on making alot of momey on mylot you will be very dissapointed. It is all about the pennies on this site. You will just have to keep on doing what you are doing right now. Posting discussions, and replying to other discussions. If the big money is what you are after it is not here. This is just some spending money you can make as a past time, while you are enjoyng yourself with some friends.I do not know about writting for the AC if you can do that and make $3-$4 that sounds really great. Good luck to You.

I think the longer you stay it gets better. You need to make your responses a bit longer perhaps. But if your just doing this for the money maybe you shouls do something else. I think its fun and you can get ideas and make new friends. For me its about the people not the money. I guess the choice is up to you!
