Are you open to criticisms?

When you start a discussion and you state your opinion regarding your topic, are you expecting positive comments agreeing with your point of view or not? Are you open to criticisms which might hurt your ego? In my opinion it would be nice to have a discussion with people who agrees with you but it would be better to have someone who contradicts with you every now and then to make the discussion more exciting. Because in this instance we will have more points to debate on.
