What would you say makes for a successful life

Would you say someone is successful by the material things that they gain, or would you say that someone is successful by how many people remember a person when they die?
Also what are some goals you would recommend for someone just starting out in life.

I don't believe that success is measured by the possessions you have. If you are happy with your life, I believe you have been successful. If you can truly say that your life is the way that you want it, you're successful. I do think that you have to have people in your life to make you happy. People that you can truly call family and friends.
