Okay, I have not posted in a couple months, one because we have been traveling, but more because I tend to be very long winded, and because of this I write my articles, blogs, etc in a word processor. I do this because soooo many times I have written a very long post, hit the post button, or worse yet, hit a button by mistake, and everything I just wrote is GONE! Well, today I decided to get back on Mylot and get involved again, since I have been away for so long, and guess what? I wrote a LONG post, hit a button and it is all GONE!!! AAAARRRGGGGHHHHHH MYLOT!!!!!
Who besides me feels that 500 post before you can paste is just RIDICULOUS???? I cannot remember how many post I have made, but it is close to 200 I think, and the thing that makes me really angry, is I have posted way more than 500 post total, but the way Mylot counts what you post, you do not get credit for each post you make, only certain post, and I have never understood that.
So, let's see a show of hands here, and perhaps Mylot will rethink this 500 post before you can paste thing. I know of at least one person that refuses to ever come back, because they write like I do, long post, and they have too many times written a long post, just to have it be eaten by an Internet page hickup monster.
MYLOT PLEASE RETHINK THIS 500 POST BEFORE YOU CAN PASTE THING, THOSE OF US WHO HAVE BEEN HERE AND SPENT MONTHS AND HOURS POSTING DESERVE A BREAK!

Okay, take a breathe. :)
Do you have any idea how many times people come on here & cheat? By cheat, I mean they copy & paste things from other sites without giving proper credit. Those are usually not even posted to start a discussion, just to make more money. Also, there are people who will copy & paste other folks discussion.Again, it's just to make money, not because they want to discuss something & make money at the same time.
Believe me there have been numerous times of the above mentioned things happening. It rather spoils what this site is about. Now can you imagine how many of the "discussions" here would just be what I mentioned if the copy & paste rule wasn't there? This site would be a joke.
I completely understand your frustration. I have had my posts disappear as I was trying to add them. But,I think mylot has the 500 rule with the belief that the majority of people that are going to stick around posting that long are going to use this site honestly.
Just try to hang in there. Maybe for now, look through & find lighter discussions to respond to [things that trigger shorter responses].Before you know it, you will reach 500 & be able to blow us all away with tons of long winded posts!

I do understand why they do it, and feel it is a good idea, but, I also feel that they picked an unreasonable number when they chose 500 as the point when people can start copy and pasting. Surely with the way the system credits your post to begin with, 100 post would have been more than sufficient. My major frustration is that when their site flakes out and eats my post, I loose at that good thought I poured out, and can never get it back :(
