Classic Mortal Kombat Games

I'm talking mainly about the 1st 3 games that were made by Midway. Did you ever own any of those versions at all? I've only owned Mortal Kombat on the PC and it was a pretty good game and still is. With Mortal Kombat, I could use any character, I just tend to use Raiden, Sub Zero or Scorpion the most out of all the characters but I do the best with each of them. Mortal Kombat 2 I owned on the Genesis and that was actually entertaining. Best character I found for that game is either Raiden or Shang Tsung. I've played Mortal Kombat 3 and I can get close to the end with Shang Tsung. The game itself I found was actually the hardest of them because you have to be really skilled to get more than 1 victory and not get beat in the next round even on the easiest possible level. The only thing I've never done is actually pull off a Fatality. I've never figured it out and it is one of the toughest tricks out there. I guess just push a bunch of buttons and figure out if it's the right combination and write it down. In the 1st Mortal Kombat, never had the chance to fight Reptile. Has anybody ever done that and was it easy for you? Mortal Kombat 2, I've only fought Jade as a secret boss but that's about it. I've never fought Smoke or Noob Saibot so not sure how easy it is to do that. I don't know if there's any secret bosses in this game at all. I have the regular Mortal Kombat 3, not the Ultimate Edition. Discuss your favorite Classic Mortal Kombat games and the best characters to use for each of the games.
