Where is the balance between being a good, responsible mum and and good friend to your children? What do you do when your child/ teenager tells you things that you really would rather have not heard because you are their mum, if you were just their friend would your reaction have been different?

I am a mother and a friend for my children. They tell me every thing.I tackle the situation when and where required. Some time I tackle like a friend some time like a mother.Because world has change if we mother dont change than I think we have to face a lots of problem.

You have succeeded. You must have great communication. Thats the next ingrdient to the most important one love. Many parents would envy you. You will deal with what ever it was you didnt want to hear, but more importantly you have your childs confidence.

A mother needs to be prepared to hear anything, and a mother (well a parent, this applies to father's too!!!) needs to be prepared to hear what the children have to say without judgement. Children are not always going to tell ou what you want to hear. You need to be prepared to love and support them.
