I've been doing nothing but runecrafting for the last week trying to get just 1 level higher. I "STILL" have another 20k xp to go before I hit 71 runecrafting. Thats insane. No wonder runecrafting is becoming one of the more neglected skills, you barely get any xp from it. After I get this level I believe I'll let it be my lowest again . I can't believe I'm switching my Tears of Guthix & Lamps to it instead of construction. Jagex needs to update runecrafting with some newer bags, teleport methods, xp boosters or something.

i too am currently runecrafting when in game and i am hating it!!!
i am taking a break from combat and slayer training, just to help keep my other skills in line, well the other day i got 2 agility levels (yes 2 levels in one day is unusal for me) from 72 to 74.
yesterday and today i have been runecrafting, making laws and i still have not leveled yet, funny thing is, my rc is way lower than my agility! my rc is only 67!
any other skill is easy in comparison to runecrafting (even if you use all the pouches that your ability allows).
the most exp i can gain per trip making laws is 430 exp... in comparison to about the same amount of time doing the long course in the dorgesh-kaan arena where i can get well over 2k exp to agility.
the only way i can see that i will make any decent exp doing runecrafting is if i loose money, and lots of it!
if i want 75 rc (this means i would be able to use the giant pouch) i need to craft well over 64k laws... doing that on my own would take months and if i have runners, that would not only cost me the money of buying 64k ess but also i wouldn't get any laws as the runners expect them and 27 ess noted back in exchange for their service!
to train rc effeciently and gain great exp you need to be super rich and not care you are loosing out. otherwise you are like me and get stuck with bad exp!
rc needs a major update!

Just wait till your trying to get from 70 to 71, Shesh!!! Talk about long and booring. Since I started focusing on this slow skill I've slipped 1000 slots in the rankings as other people get ahead in the other much faster skills. That said, I think I'll let it slip to my lowest skill now so the Tears can go to it. With the Implings droping oak planks it'll be faster working on construction using them & I'll even score some hunter xp.

i think now if i want more lvls on rc i will get my clan to run for me (it's a forum clan and they are nice like that lol) other than that, then my tears will eventually go back onto rc, it was before construction was introduced and i liked it that way.
i hate training con almost as much as rc as both to be trained effectively eat at my money, and i don't like that at all!

update on my earlier post:
i decided to go and buy some normal ess (waste of money gah!) and pop to world 16 (unofficial air craft world).
i have made many many airs paying 2k + 25 noted per 25 un noted and i have now managed to get my lvl which is now 68!!!
2 days, lots of cash spent all for one measly lvl!!!

Yeah, but that would be extremely unfair to the people who did it the hard way. If you care that much about runecrafting simply deal with it.

No offence to you, but if we are talking "fairness" then we would also have to say that Pest Control is unfair to all those that had to level up without it. The "new" axes (rune, dragon, addy) (I say new because there were those that had to level without them too) are unfair. The new weapons are unfair to those who did all the hard quests without them. All the new teleports are unfair to the people that had to walk. The list goes on. I am not trying to be mean to you, I'm just saying that updates happen. Runecrafting could use a little "zip" to it.

i agree with you there because in my opinon runecrafting is the most boring and time wasting skill ever. if jagex updated it and made it much more fun i might change my views about runecrafting

man i hate runecrafting takes forever to level up plus you have to go back and forth from bank to altar my suggestion is go to every forum you know and post that your doing running like have people bring you ess and you trade runesc for it! hope it helps
