I swear I will not go back until I feel lowsy and something begins to make me worry.
So off to the doctors I went with pressure on my chest that went up the neck. My doctor got upset that I did not go to the hospital. But I followed the doctor's office's instructions to just stop taking the medication I was taking, saying that the medication was causing the pressure.
So she sent me to the hospital for tests. After the hospital decided that the pressure was not heart related, they no longer considered me an important person to be bugging their emergency room.
They made me feel like an idiot, both my doctor and the hospital. And to make things more exciting, I left the hospital with the same pressure and pain that I had when I arrived.
The hospital advised me that they are there to save lives and since it was ruled that my life was not in danger, they are not doing any further testing to find out why I had the pressure or pain.
They said I was fine to leave and go home and follow up with my doctor. Sure thing, the doctor who gave me the advise, who sent me to the hospital and who gets irritated at me for not acting on my accord and being my own doctor.
I am so discouraged with this medical world. I think I will just treat myself from here on in. I think I know more than they do anyhow.

Honestly, I have had doctors who made me feel this way. If he didn't help you fix the problem, I would consider finding another doctor if at all possible. I have a doctor now who listens to me and talks to me about everything. She leaves no stone unturned. I have in the past felt as you do, and there is no need to feel that way. They are supposed to be professionals. But it is all to often that they treat you as if your on a conveyor and they are moving on to the next patient before you know it because they don't feel you warrant the attention regardless of if your having pain or not. So, if you can at all find another physician, do it and keep looking until you find the right one for you. That is what I did and believe me the search was worth it.

i had the similar experience when i was admitted for hyperventilation. i was sure i felt something odd and not good - i didn't know it was panic attacks then, the doctors couldn't even determine that. they just said that everything is just in the mind and that treatment is only up to me. i went into depression after that and the doctors incompetence were adding to it. it was very discouraging.
