As we all know, Paris was sentenced to jail for a DUI, but only after 2 days of jail time, she was released! Well not totally released, but released to her home where she was to stay for the remainder of her sentence. WOW! But of c ourse, this came as no shock to the public. Being among the rich and the famous can get you out of almost anything. But what was shocking was when the judge ordered that she be sent back to jail to serve her time. Initially, Paris stated on tv that she wanted to go to jail and serve her time, so that she could show the world that she was strong, that she was not given special treatment and above all "that she wanted to do the right thing"...lol Although, when she was given the boot to go home, she hopped on it! Now Paris is out and she did her time, but do you think that she learned her lesson? What message does this send to the public and other celebrities like Nicole Richie, who is facing the same charge?

My initial response to thewhole Paris-in-jail thing is that I doubt that it will do anything to change Paris's hard-partying ways. But who knows, only time will tell if my skepticism holds water or not. Seriously though, most of these Holywood celebutantes are taking a lot for granted and set a questionable example for young teenagers today. What's worse is that the media tends to glorify the antics of these young women! It saddens me to think of what kind of people my future daughter will be seeing on TV and in the news... :(
