Greetings from the Philippines. I am Filipino-Chinese though I do not look like a Chinese. My dad is a Chinese. His mother is 75% Chinese while his father is a Pure Chinese. My grandfather escaped from China during the early 1920's. He was from Canton, China. He arrived in the Philippines and boarded at Binondo then he went to Mindanao and finally settled here with my grandmother. He was already 31 years dead. In connection with this, I am searching for my relatives in China. The Name of my grandfather is LEE WOO AKI CHEE. He had to family names, CHEE and LEE. We followed CHEE as our family name. Do anyone of you knows someone whose CHEE is their surname?

according to information you provided in your post,i dont think CHEE is a family in your case while LEE is a very popular chinese family name, not like english name chinese family name is always in front of the given name.and it is also hard to tell what LEE WOO AKI CHEE pronounce or character due to the name you provided is pronounced in Cantonese. i would suggest you go to local chinese organizations such as "fedeation of all filipino-chinese community", they may help you trace back your original background in china wish you good luck
