When I first joined Yahoo Answer, I thought it was great, a community that shared information with each other. But now I hate Yahoo Answers as there rules are extremely strict, and people will flag you alot causing your deactivation of your account. Mylot as well though pays you for your discussions. This is a major advantage. Why not be making money doing the same thing?

I agree with you. I am not a fan of Yahoo Answers. I used to use it. Matter of fact that is how I found out about mylot. At first I was excited. I saw others posting links and stuff. So once I got into doing mylot, I tried to post a link there to a few people that were looking for links of this kind. I figured I could, other people were doing it. Not even a day after I posted links, I got emails stating my answers had been deleted because they violated the guidelines. From that day I quit using Yahoo Answers. They are very strict with thier rules and thier point system is pointless (no pun intended). You get points for things but they are useless. You can't use them for anything. At least I never found out a use for them.

Well, I had no choice but to quit that account because they suspended it. Points only can be used for asking questions, but other than that, I found no use for them

I used YA from time to time. But people there are just....ugh. There are some nice people. Don't get me wrong.
But, for instance, someone asked for an honest review of Pirates 3. I gave it. Then I had a bunch of people vote me down because they didn't agree with me. Ridiculous! Like a bunch of two year olds.

sometimes it can be, but your rating drops because alot of people put down your answer.

Thanks SquashStar, for your telling us about Yahoo Answer. Once I had visited YA to see if there's another site like myLot. I thought the same thing you've said as viewing the content of YA. And I decided not to join, because I thought I'd had myLot! Not to disregard YA, I like myLot cause of its excitement and fun. I feel my ideas have been more stimulated here than in YA. Yeaah..just feeling. Besides I have no more time to partake in there.
Good post!
