now there are only five members in our company, and I do not know why it seems that we have nothing to do everyday.we can play games or listen to some music or watch movies online, and it maybe what we do at work time all day long.yes, our boss who invests the company has got to another city, now he just remotes us,but we can do nothing,we do not have any bussiness to do.although we still can get salary every month, but I think it is a waste of time to idle away every day just like this. should I quit my job?can you give me some advices?thank you very much!

well, this type of situation is quite peculiar.getting salary for not doing anything is quite nice to hear.however doing such a job cannot make you improvise in your field of work nor can there be any rise in pay. if you want to be a "FACE " in the crowd, i advice you to leave that job and try for another job and let your talents come out and be helpful to the society. Live your life with a purpose... this is my advice to you.

It does sound idle, but then it also sounds like you have a lot of freedom in your position. You're essentially getting paid just to show up at work, correct? If you have the freedom to watch movies, surf the internet, play games, listen to music, chat with coworkers and make phone calls, then really, what is different than spending those 8 hours a day at home doing the same and not getting paid?

It seems that you are lucky. If the pay is well and why not stay. It's not easy to find a good job. Especially it's so hot outside, you don't want to suffer the experience of many interviews. If you think it's idle, you can try to study something when you have time. A stable and less pressure work is always good for women.

Hi Angella i agreethat it is a waste of time. Yes maybe u should look for a better job, afterall the next job would be based on ur skills and work exp and not on games or music. So concentrate or utilize the time in learning more or brushing up ur skills. That would definitely give u a double benefit. No work pressire with salary and at the same time a scope to prepare for a beter profile and salary.

I can understand what u r going through. well first get ready by learninfg as much as u can, next try looking for a job, next leave this only when u have the new jo in hand. I know it may not be possible, but incase if i could get a job for u in India would u like to work in India. I agree it eould be tough to settle ans adjust and also to be away from family and friends. Let me know. If u feel its fine send me yuor resume at sourav140979@yahoo.com and I shall start the job search for u my friend. I can only try but the decision is urs. Wish u all the best my friend.

At first glance, it seems like a perfect job. Imagine being paid just doing what you want to do with your time. If I had that kind of job I might spend all my time here in mylot, LOL! However I may not be happy in the long run. I want some challenge and to have something to do that is related to what I was hired for. As for you, if you are happy in your position now, then you don't have to quit. But if you think that there is something missing, then it's about time probably for you to look for another job.

id love to be in a job like that. i dont see why you'd want quit. unless, of course, you feel like you have to fulfill something. like, this job wasnt really what you wanted. you really want to do something else, this job as a stepping stone. then yeah, id leave

Could you take that time to do some online courses? Maybe finish up a degree or learn some new job skills so you can get a better job. Or even do part time work there.

yeah , angela . I admire you can have so many freedom time . Actually , you're not the one who wanna waste your time so you often come here to learn english . That's really a good chance to find such a job . But only own time to study a language maybe not enough to you , you also wanna find your work value or position in your company . I wanna say , your company maybe just start its business . So I think stay in such a company maybe can learn more than to stay in a large group such as me . Now , everyday , I'm so busy to do daily job but it is so simple and I nearly feel bored to it . But I tried to balance it . Now , If you were at my position , do you wanna regign this job ? maybe you also wanna give up it . But up to now , I choose to stay in this company because I need money and some more else . So , I hope you can consider well , what do you want now ? and what can get from this job ? If you leave this company , whether you can find a better one which can satify with your request ? What kind of position do you like best ? you must ask yourself these questions first before you decide to resign.

thank you very much.my first job is more or less like yours to some extent,I am so busy every day that I do not have time to do anything else, such as go shopping ,so I resign it because I can not stand it.so I do not know what I want to get in a job maybe, although I need money too.

actually, I am doing the similar work with you. and sometimes I think I am wasting time, but I don't want to resign my job. yes, I know I waste a lot of time by reading story books online, and listening music on my computer, going shopping online ,and some other way to waste time. but when I found mylot, I know I can do some other thing at my work time . such as post my opinion on mylot, and share pictures on mylot, and so on. I ever work hard on mylot for money, but now I know I could not earn a lot of money here, but I can make new friends and get more information about the world . now I can type faster, and I can reading English faster . and I find some new friends here, and there is one from my own country, our hometown is next city. I feel so happy and I know I find my own fun. so easy job is not a bad thing, you have free time to learn and enjoy yourself.how you use the time is the most important, and if you can use the time to learn, you have a good job. and you might get a better job after your learing. now I try to be active here and there ,but not only for money . I think my English is better than before, though it is still not very good. hope you can enjoy yourself by the free time, and know how to use it. good luck with you

Just do what you like to do.

If I'm in your shoes, I'm going to quit my job bcoz I'm not learning or shall I say I can't grow with that kind of company. I like working 8 hours a day and then after office hours do my extra co-curicular activities. :)

You're fortunate to have such a company with all the freedom you have right now! Why not talk to your co workers? Plan something that can generate income for the company. come to think of this, if the company close, you will loose your job, it's hard to find another job like that. Try to help your company. Are you satisfied working 8 hrs a day without any outcome. me, im working homebased but 8 hrs a day. the only employee with lots and lots of products. Im an all around employee, from marketing, to technical, to bookkeeping, researcher, sales, admin etc. so where do you wanna work mine or yours?

If you have nothing to do all day and your boss is in another city I think I would be looking for another job. It wold appear to me that just possibly the office that you are working in could be down sized and how would you know who would be staying. I really would get tired of that kind of job any way. That My opinion.

If you feel that your job is a waste of your time I think it's better to resign. Instead of wasting your time everyday with tasks that are not helpful to you and to the company that your working to...better start looking for a new and productive job.

It sounds like you are very bored. Perhaps you should start looking for another job while you are still getting paid from this one. It's not really wise to quit one job without having another waiting for you, especially if you need that money to pay your bills.

Job - Job Satisfaction
Seems that you are just enjoying your time in your current job. This might seems to be a fun temporarily. But for the long term, this may not be useful to you. The knowledge you should have in your job for the future, can be acquired now, only if you have a good opportunity to work everyday. Think about this. As you have said, its going to just a waste of time for you stay with your current job. I advice you to look for some good job where you can be kept occupied for the whole day, so that you can learn a lot from the job.

We work to earn a living, if you're not doing anything and still make money its good, but we need to be productive to grow, work provides sense of accomplishment, that you were able to achieve something because of your talent. Its always nice to get paid because of your hardwork. Maybe you should look for a new job that you enjoy and that will make you grow as an individual.
