Which type of love is the most selfless and everlasting in your opinion? I have received many different opinions from my friends on this topic. And why do you think so? I think that a love for a friend is more powerful and selfless without any desire or materialistic wishes.

for me i think agape love is the most selfless and everlasting love that i know. this is because this love is came from God and he wants us to have this kind of love. because he don't want us to be selfish and to love temporarily he want us to have a love that is selfish, boastful, self centered and just temporal. he want us to share his love to others and to our fellow people he don't want to stop our love in the people we just love but to our enemies too...

Agape is the Greek for the Same love as Charity (from the Latin)
I agree with what you have said and think you wrote your thoughts very well.
except this part needing to be in the negative:
" he want us to have a love that is selfish, boastful, self centered and just temporal."

I think the most selfless love is what is called Charity, which is the love of God, for the love of God.
And if I should have prophecy and should know all mysteries, and all knowledge, and if I should have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
