No.. it is a 1 footed alien that comes in the middle of the night and steals them all... LOL... I number mine on the toes in pairs 1, 2, 3 etc.. that way they are not miss matched. Missing a lot of them.. I look everywhere and can't find them

My dryer not only eats socks, but sometimes underwear too!! For a long time I thought it was the sock fairy, but I can see now that the washing machine and dryer are in cahoots with the sock fairy, if I could just figure out why! My dryer must be hungrier than most because I have a whole bag full of socks that are missing it's mate, and I just know they'll turn up somewhere! (They never do though!)

Not any more, I got rid of it.
The sock gremlin that lives in the washing machine still steals the odd one and only returns it when the other one of the pair has been thrown away.

It doesn't get chance, The washer has usually already had them But it's actually the gremlins who live in the pipes and they collect socks because they are the easiest things to destroy and make clothes out of for them. That's why sometimes socks mysteriously turn up with holes in, in random places, because the sock gremlins have left them there after they have used all the material they need.

your dryer must be in cahoots with right-handed aliens.

I'm constantly missing socks after doing the laundry, but I'm not so sure that it isn't my washing that's the culprit. lol

No, I know what happened to all of mine. When we moved about 2 months ago, half of the socks in the drawer had became unfolded. So my dear boyfriend decided to throw them away. Now I have 3 bags of socks that do not have a mate. I dont know which ones he threw a way & which ones the dryer ate (or my sister who has sticky fingers decided to walk off with)

I have a brand new dryer but my wiring is bad, so I can't use it. I would feed my dryer to be able to use it.
