My landlady came by today due to an A/C issue and she commented that I'd lost a lot of weight.
I'm glad that someone noticed as I know my hard work is paying off.
My secret? I've got a really active job where I don't eat much at all, and I sweat the entire shift.
I've lost a good 15lbs since last year when I started working active jobs. I had a month off in May though, so I gained some back.
In the last week however, I've lost about 5 lbs from a new job.
I drink a lot of fluids when I'm off the job and I sweat everything out. I burn a lot of calories as a result of the work I do.
In case you're wondering, I work at a tire recycling unit where I either sling tires onto a conveyor belt or load steel scraps into a baling machine. The baler is the most labour intensive job at the plant. In only half an hour, I was dripping with sweat.
And by the way, I'm female. And I'm only the second one at the plant.
Does anyone else have weightloss secrets they'd like to share?

No problem. I'm glad I can be an inspiration.
I've been sitting at 160+ pounds for a long time and it was nice to see the scale readout sitting at 150 for a change.
The work is definately paying off.

This is so true. I own a landscaping company and we work off whatever we eat. I tell everyone who wants to lose weight to increase their output. They don't have to stop enjoying food.
I weigh around 145 pounds. Sometimes my intake is more than 3,000 calories. I eat whatever I want and work it off.
There are several people who worked with me that lost weight eating 7 times a day. What ever they wanted.
However I do recommend a reduction in your caloric intake if you want to see faster results.

Well, I don't eat much anyways. I usually eat something when I get up before work. I very rarely eat at work since the work is so hard that I'd get sick if I did.
It's coming off pretty fast and I'm happy.

That seems like a great way to lose weight and build some muscle. I hope you like the job, too.

Looks like I have got some job searching to do and a tire department sounds good rather then paying zym $100 per month , great trade.

Any sort of active work that keeps you busy will help. I worked for a cleaning company for 7 months and that was helping me lose as well, just not as much.
If you get a job working with active kids, you'll have no problem getting the weight off.
People may ask me what kind of workout program I have or what gym I go to and I tell them my gym is my workplace, and my workout is my job duties.
A lot of people have been surprised by the job I do especially since I'm a woman, and, I've forgotten to mention that I'm only 5'2" tall.

Great job with your weight loss. Pushing the fluids and getting plenty of exercise is probably the best advice I could give you, but it sounds like you are already doing that.
I used to work off a lot of weight at my job as a floor technician at our local grocery store. I spent several hours every night pushing the floor machines around the store. The one machine was big and heavy, and self propelled. The second one was light, but I had to do a fast walk through the store with it. I would spend around 4 hours every night pushing these machines around the store.

So you know what hard work is like. I work 40 hour weeks in this place so it's always nice to relax on the weekend and eat whatever I want.

You are lucky that you can loose wt. at your job, I have a sedentary job so I have to find extra time to exercise to keep my wt. under control. I have a system of exercising while doing daily activities like rotating the waste while brushing teeth, spot jogging while reading.

All good things. As long as you're physically active for at least a half hour day, it's all you really need to keep in shape.

Wow!! You are a woman doing that type of job? Kudos to you if you can do it. I know I could never do something like that. But I have had jobs in the past that kept me very active to where I was able to loose weight. Now I would have to watch it if I was excercising too much with a job due to being Insulin Diabetic now. I have gained a lot of weight and wish I could find a way to loose some myself.
But if this seems to work for you as a way to loose some Extra weight, than go for it. Just remember to make sure and take care of yourself as well, and such. But Good job on being able to loose some weight.

First of all congrats on the wt loss!! I know that since last yr I've lost 30lbs (40 more to go though)....the big thign for me was quitting drinking, upping my water intake and watching what I eat..I have a hardcore love for fattening foods like deep fried stuff and cheese etc....this yr I've been trying to workout at least 3 to 4 times a week for an hour or more but since getting back from my trip to L.A in the beginning of May I've been a total slacker and gained 5-7 back..With the humidity the way its been the past couple weeks I've not only not had the energy to workout but I pretty much ahvent had the motivation to do much of anything....There is supposed to be a cold front moving in though come Thursday so I'll kick it up then.....
Big things for me...water water water...and with it being summer where I am right now eating lots of fresh fruits and veggies is a major plus....

Gee! Am so proud of you. I am fat actually not that fat and I gotta hormonal imbalance. My doctor adived me to lose weight and am on several weight loss programs. Unfortunately, it didn't work that well. Hmmm... i tried to work-out to sweat but i still didn't lose weight =(.
Well I asked help from pills and diet tea. They work hehe but I don't want to suffer the consequences so I stopped.

Congratulations on your weight loss! I agree, all it takes is a little activities and sweat. I was addicted to sugar and anything I could pop into the microwave. I've stopped eating a lot of sweets and white stuff and started eating piles of vegetables with every meal. I too have also started drinking water instead of sodas. It really works. I too have dropped some pounds. Thanks for sharing your story. Continued weight loss!

There's no doubt that being active burns calories. I exercise regularly and eat sensibly, but I do eat and don't skip meals. I can't function without food, and I don't avoid any foods at all, I just eat in moderation. That's my secret, but it's really not much of a secret. It's more about common sense than anything else.
