Well, looks like we have something in common. I've lived in Bahrain all my life, I'm 24, and never been anywhere else, and so I've never been on a plane either. I'm not afraid or anything and lots of people fly everyday, one of my friends is a flight attendant too, and well those incidences are like one in thousands, so don't worry about those things. It's really a matter of luck, if something like that is meant to happen to you, then it can even happen at home, I'm not trying to scare you, I'm just saying, no reason to get yourself worried over what "might" happen or not happen. Just enjoy life, I hope I get to travel on a plane someday.

Yep, your right, if something happens to me it could do at home or anywhere else to. So I think it's probably in the near future to fly with a playn somewhere, outthere in the world :d.

Yeah, we can't live through life being scared of what might happen, so just embrace life and try everything.

I really love to travel and as I like tropical destinations most of all I have to fly to them. However once there I prefer to travel overland by train or bus, sometimes by boat. The first time I flew when I was 14 years old I went on a three hour flight to Greece. My ears really hurt but apart from this it was fine. When I was 19 years old I went on my fist long haul flight, 10 hours to St Lucia in the Caribbean. It was not until I was 26 that a friend bought me a pair of Ear Planes to wear in my ears that I flew without pain. The flight from Kenya to the UK flew over the magical looking golden pyramids of Egypt. Wow! The most scenic flight I have ever done was on a small plane in the Maldives. I saw a superb view over the blue sea and tiny islands. I have have been safe so far every time I have flown in a plane. The plane I was on going to Tunisia was shaking around a fair amount due to bad weather. I split a drink all over myself. It landed in Tunis and my ears really hurt. Then it took off again and the journey was even more bumpy. Landing at Sfax I was sick and in doing so dropped my immigration card. Oh, what an awful journey! When I flew from Hong Kong to Australia I was given a newspaper as I boarded the plane. On the front cover was a picture of a Concorde crash. The odds are against this sort of thing happening. It really is very unlikely. If you fly I hope that you will enjoy the experience, go somewhere really lovely and be safe.
