How long is your usual sleep at night... to say you had enough? I've known some people who tend to sleep 2-3 hours a day and its enough...while some sleep from 12 am to 12 pm. I dont know if they dont get head ache or what but I cant stand to sleep 3 hours only... i also cannot sleep for 12 straight hours.
Me... 5-6 hours is enough. How about you?

Now that I get up during the day, I am sleeping at night around 4 to 5 hours. With the exception of lastnight where I got the full total of eight hours. Since my husband didn't wake me this time when the alarm went off.

Wow that was great...At least you have slept that long. I mean sometimes it feels good to wake up realizing you have a little more time to sleep. I have a baby...and I find it really difficult to complete 8 hours of sleep. Esp right ow my baby is sick and wakes up more often than usual.

Sorry to hear that your baby is sick. I hope your baby gets better soon.
Yes I do count myself lucky anytime I can sneak in a few extra hours of sleep. Especially this week since I have been having a rough time with the humidity, and being sick myself. Not only that I lead a busy life with work, taking care of family things, and the general list of things one makes for themselves in any given day.
So my husband just letting me sleep when he got up this morning was a silent blessing, and has helped feel slightly back to normal after feeling really awful the last few days.

I think it depends a bit. Somewhere between 6 and 10 hours. I do not think less than 6 is enough. I saw a documentary on tv about sleep. Although people said they felt fine and refreshed after just a couple of hours sleep they performed very badly on consentration tests. The people that had slept for 2 hours did as bad as the people that had stayed up all night. They said 6 hours was the minimum

For me 8 hours is enough, but i cant have that, because i have so many obligations to accomplish, most often i've got 5-6 hrs sleep and its okay for me at least i got time to sleep.

For me I can go on almost any sleep. I have gone on 2-3hours and I have gone on 12hours. The ideal amount of time for me would have to be 8hours of sleep a night. The thing is with 4 kids I am lucky to get any.

During weekdays, I try to sleep at least 6-7 hrs because whenever I stay up too late and get a little sleep I really can't concentrate at work. I try to sleep early because it's healthier than staying up late. Weekends is usually the time where I get a little sleep, because I know I don't have work the next day.

i sleep roughly 7 hours per night, i am pretty predictable, i go to bed just after midnight and i get up each morning at 7:20 am to get my son ready for school and walk my dog.
this is just the right ammount of sleep for me, i very rarely get up feeling tired or unrested. on weekends i sometimes get an extra half hour, but as i have a dog that needs to go to the loo in the morning, i have to be up for him :)

Wow you are responsible huh. I think 7 hours of sleep is enough... but sometimes with 5 hours of sleep i easily get tired... but I adore you for having time to walk with your dog. I love dogs... I wonder what type of dog you have.

I sleep 6-8 hours and sometimes upto 10 hours during the weekends. It is said that for a more restful sleep, we should sleep 7-8 hours a night. I try to stick to that. I don't feel like I'm myself when I sleep less than 6 hours. And when I sleep 8-10 hours I feel GREAT!

Hi Lucky Witch, I work nights so I sleep weird hours. I usualy go to bed around 5 A.M. and get up around 11:00 to 11:30. Usualy 6 to 6 1/2 hours is enough but every once in a while my body says it needs more and I end up sleeping in. Take care, Terry

I sleep in the day, and I am lucky to get at most 5 hours. I mostly get between 4-5 daily. That is because the world is not suited for midnight shoft workers. Everyone expects to maintain a quiet at night, but daytime is a free for all. When my hubby is home, and takes care of the boys, I sleep better and maybe 6 hours. Knowing he is home, my "ears/hearing" tunes out and I hear less activity.

Week nights I get between 3 and 6 hours of sleep, and weekends I top out at about 10 unless I have something special to do. I do get headaches if I sleep too long..really nasty headaches too.
