Back in the "old days" as my dad would say....Women are supposed to cook, clean and just basically do household chores, while men go out and find work. That's all good and all, but even so, men get besides themselves because they feel like since they're bringing in all the income they can do as they please. Excuse my language, but bull$hit!!! I'm not going to let a man tell me what to do nor am I going to let him run over me. What if women were the workers and men were the housewives? What if women cheated and had children by two and even three other people? Times have changed and now more and more, men are being more ruthless. What would you do if the roles were changed?

I am a stay at home mom. So I don't know if I want things to change. I kinda like not working and taking care of my babies. My husband makes all the money, pays the bills, plus makes sure me and the kids get what we want and need. He never tells me what I can and can't do. He knows better. lol And we don't cheat we're with each other all the time. lol

I don't think a reversal of roles is a real answer. I know a lot of women who treat their husbands just as badly as the men you are speaking of treat their wives, and it's still not right!
I think the best thing to do is get rid of the whole idea of "gender roles" in relationships anyways. People should do what is best for their own families, use their own strengths, and treat each other with respect and equality.
In my relationship, my husband and I both work outside the home. We both do housework, of whatever kind we are good at or can do. We make decisions together based on mutual interests and needs. I wouldn't want him to be subservient to me in the way that women have often been to men over the centuries, nor would I want to be that way to him.
Just today we were cleaning together and I was doing tasks that are typically considered male while he was doing tasks that were typically considered female, and we found ourselves laughing over it. It really just doesn't matter to us who does what, as long as everything gets done and our family runs smoothly! =)
