As far as this year is concerned the Mets are clearly the better team, but as far as an historical organization, the Yankees may have the greatest franchise of all time. I'm no Yankee fan but 26 World Series titles and one of the most recognizable teams in the world speaks very highly of them. I wouldn't lose faith in the Yankees if I were you. As long as Georgie boy is running the team, they have an almost unlimited payroll and the draw of playing in one of the greatest cities in the world - it won't be too long before they are back on top. Try cheering for the Brewers sometime - 24 years without a playoff appearance - a lesson in patience if ever there was one.
