How do you come up with the money to pay for a wedding all by yourself????

My fiance and I are planning our wedding. The big day is in October. However, my dad has been laid off for awhile and just got his job back. Traditionally, the bride's parents are supposed to pay for the wedding, but mine just don't have the extra money. Although my fiance's parents like me and approve of our marriage, they are unwilling to financially help. Our credit is not great at this time, so getting a loan is out of the question. I've already given up the idea of having my "dream wedding" because we simply cannot pay for it all. We did splurge just a little on the reception hall, but need ideas on how to get the money. Help?!?
