ESPN sportswriters don't feel the giants will make the players and even have them ranked as low as 23rd in the nfl. I think these geeks will need to change their diet this Fall to include a healthy orcder of "CROW" when the GIANTS unleash their new attack on NFL opponents. What's your opinion of their upcong season?

The one thing that worries me about the Giants is the loss of Tiki Barber and the added load that's going to put on Eli Manning's shoulders. I know there have been some grumblings about his play but if you compare his carrer stats to that of his brother at the same stage of his career, they are not that far apart. I think they have to utilize Shockey a lot more than they did last season and if they can do those things then i see them as a wild card team.
Oh, and one more thing....GO STEELERS!!

My DAD was a diehard Steelers fan while I worshipped (and still do) the NY Giants. One day at a Steelers game, we watched the Giants enter the stadium from their team bus. I shook SAM HUFF's hand... didn't want to wash it for weeks! I think they'll surprise a lot of people this year and be in the Superbowl within the next 3. I want to take the Sportswriters' comments, wrap them up in suppository form, save them for the end of the season...and...BOTTOMS UP BOYS!!!!!!!

My dad is an old school Giants fan, from back in the day of Lawrence Taylor, Phil Simms, Mark Bavaro, etc. I honestly think it will be a bit of a challenge for the Giants. Speaking as an outside viewer, the hole of replacing Tiki Barber, first and foremost, will be tough to overcome. Maybe Droughns can step in, but there is no replacing a guy like Tiki, on or off the field. Guys like Plaxico Burress and Jeremy Shockey need to have consistent games...
Their defensive secondary is a big question mark, too. Sam Madison and R.W. McQuarters are getting up there in age and I don't know how much better they can get. The safeties are solid, but they will need to plug holes in the running and passing defense, a hard task to ask from them.
The worst part, there are two teams considered Super Bowl contenders in your division: Philadelphia (considering McNabb stay healthy, which is a big if) and Dallas. You should be competitive, but we'll see if the Giants' weaknesses will be exposed.

I don't know what to think about all the changes! I do know one thing - the veterans need to pull their act together and fill the hole in the Giant's soul! No more rookie mistakes from 15 year guys, no more "me, me, me" stuff, and NO MORE BLAH, BLAH, BLAH to the press! The most elite warriors are silent before battle, focused during it, and victorious afterward. I think it's time to put up AND shut up!

How about a line from King Lionitus (Spartan) to the Persians at the pass of Thermopylae (movie the 300):
Today on this field of battle (NFL) is where YOU WILL DIE! (Lose badly)
