I can understand your anxiety as my family live in an area where there is quite a bit more rain than we are having, and believe me, we have enough. I talked to each of my family, and as my dad reminded me, the ground slopes away from his house. My brother travels, but I believe he is smart enough to avoid the situations that are dangerous.

That's very kind of them. It's better to be able to keep up with things properly Gabs, but I'm sure the kids are strong enough and sensible enough to cope. It's the house that's worrying as there are going to be a lot of damage claims here. I see poor York has suffered again. It took them over a year to recover from the last one they had. The authorities don't seem to be preventing the problem, as much as solving it as cheaply as they can each time it happens.
The floodwaters seem to be lowering a little now, so hopefully, they can get back to normal soon, but they've had an awful time of it.
Brightest Blessings, love and hugs. xx

Yes, but that's a precaution in case it gets any worse. The news says the water is subsiding and Mel says it's not in the house yet and they have sandbags, so they should be ok now. The main worry was when the Don's banks burst, which is when there is a great surge of water full of currents, and channeling down the streets. But that's over now... it's just waiting time for the water to go back down. Keep faith. xx

I have read this link...that is so scary...Did your children have to be evacuated?
I am glad that you are not risking a travel through these conditions...I feel better knowing that you and Gissi are safe and at home...
Thanks for the update, my dearest friend....
I see Tink is tired too...since she is sitting quietly today...not up to her normal mischief....LOL

Hello Gabs,
I had responded to mel's discussion on flooding and was hoping the weather would imrpove there. It's aweful that it's not looking good as more rains are expected. I just hope your kids are fine and doing well. And that you are able to visit the kids at the earliest. My best wishes are with you and your family. Hopefully weather will improve there and life can limp back to normalcy.

Well Banta Sweet I made the mistake of watching the news last night and seeing how bad the Village next to them is and I am surprised it is not with them yet as it is so close but if more rain happens at the weekend then it will get them
Thank you Sweet for your Concern and I will keep everyone updated

Well I have just seen the Village next to them and they are out in boats on there it is on the News the only reason they are not affected by this is that there is a bridge which will stop it there but Bentley is where they are and if they get more rain there will be trouble
