How many Discusion do you start in a day ?

This is my topic of discussion. Though you all may say that it will vary from timr to time and day to day. On an average how many do you start ?
Do you keep starting one after the other continusly like 10 or so...? or DO you leave gaps betwwen them ?
Do you wait for sometime to start a new discussion if one of your previous discussion is on the light ?
I do so. I wait for a discussion to be seen by many people and only then start a new topic, I wait till the topic is abandoned and only then start a new discussion. I even if I find a very interesting topic wait for a day and post it on the next day. I hardly start one or two discussion a day. I till date have started only around 70 discussion , I know that the number is very less , But I feel doing so I get more responses as more users get to see my topic.
What do you feel ?
Will I earn more if I post more discussions or will my ratings increases sooner ? What do you do ?

I rarely start discussions these days as i enjoy posting responses on mylot. And only start discussions when i find something interesting otherwise i am quite happy posting responses. Moreover when one starts discussions one needs to fidn to comment on responses received which can take time depending on response one gets.

Sure as you say it is time consuming and it is good wat to get other ideas about what you feel on you interesting topic. It is because of people like you we get interesting discussions. You plan before your start a discussion.

i usually don't start a new discussion, i start a discussion when i have some new discussions in my mind which i thing are really good to post here. i almost post 1 new discussion in 3-4 days.

Ya you people help in posting nice and sensible discussion after proir plans and not start discussions for the sake of starting. Good , you people keep mylot rolling. When you get good Ideas never hesitate to share.

I think you do earn more if you post more discussions but I'm not sure on that because I don't post often, only if I have something to post about. I prefer to respond to discussions than actually post them.

Anyway I have noticed all people willing to post and hardly one-tenth starting discussion. this is the reason we get to have nonsense one discussion from some user. What do you feel?

I post maybe a topic or at most two a week. I answer more discussions then I post. I only post something when I have something to ask or something on my mind. I don't think I could honestly post 10 discussions a week, much less in one day. I don't think posting discussions raises your ratings, etc. I am at a 10 and do not post that often. I think it has more to do with the quality of what you are posting and/or replying. I feel Mylot is much more into quality than quantity.

You are correct , mylot is more concerned with quality than quantity. Rather the mylot users are more concerened with quality , they are the one who rate. I feel a mixture od discussions and responses that sum up to your activity on mylot. But having discussion started wil make you more famous out here, and being famous indirectly add to your income .

I start only one discussion a week. I'm not good at starting discussions, so I stick to responding. When I start a discussion I do not get that many responses. I have a rating of ten so I guess starting discussions doesn't play a big part in your rating. I'm always rating discussions and responses.

No one has qualities of start new discussion. Do you sometime notice the fluctuation in the rating , did you ? It all happens because other rate you. And If more people like you discussion they will rate you positively and thus you get to earn your rating. Good Luck !!!

i try to put a new discussion everytime i log in here. But i get few responses. Maybe because im new here and have less friends. I also try to respond to as many discussions i can, since my time is limited. Im doing mylot during office hour (oops) so this quite illegal on my side. But im happy doing this, and it brightens my day.

Yes you are right frined help you a lot in get you discussions on the top. have as amny frineds as possible atleast 250 + and then you willnotice wonders happening. And a got way to get new friends is to add those people who respond to your discussions. As you say keep doin this little , " little drops make a ocean ".

Thanks for appreciating my method. Nore the number of discussion you have more are your profile visitors and so more the exposure you have more are your earnings. I thik many people do this to just increase their points. But to be a complete member you should start besides posting to discussions.

It depends on my mood and state of mind sometimes i have a lot of topics to discuess so i post 4 to 5 discussions somes times 1 or 2 and sometimes not even a single so it depends

What I meant to ask is that if you have 4 or 5 new ideas a day , do you continously start them as discussions one after the other or do you wait for a hour or two and give gaps between them so that you discussion are seen by many people . As your friends can see only your latest discussion in the " Discussion Your Friends have started " tag . DO you give gaps ?

I normally post one or two threads a day. Lately though, I can only post one discussion every week. I have a very hectic schedules and can accord a few hours logging in at mylot.
I really don't know how to catch up on all my friend's discussions, including yours. This thread is already 3 days old and I'm just responding right now. That's how busy I am, LOL.

The most difficult task for me in mylot is openinga new discussions. During the last ten days or so I have opened only two discussions. Both were posted yesterday. I am not sure when I will open a new discussion again. May be today itself, may be next week. No plans, no schedules. It's tough.

I agree with you that starting discussion are pretty though. But doing it is very essential. This help you increase both your ratings and earing. Anyway not a problem for you , as you have THE best Rating.
Every one is as equally bad , we learn a lot from here. Even I am bad at discussion. But I go forward and give it a try. I feel the attitude is more important. Anyway you are doing a great job sharing your views with more resposes.

I do discussions rarely, when I get inspired I will do it otherwise answer the discussions.Better not dump too many discussions, it is not money making but discussion must be good and interesting and timely also.But some of them does a doze a day and later they put anything for discussuion.Few will respond.

Hey touchshine !! All of us are into posting responses to discussions. But Starting new discussions and responding to others discussionare like two eyes. You progress will suffer if you happen to skip either. It is like give and take policy . You respond to other discussions and they do so to yours. I dont know how you have managed with one . Anyway you are doing a great job !

I don't post new discussions very often unless I have thought one that I want to. On the other hand, I find my discusions don't have many responses. They are on the wohle very light. I don't have the exact answer to it. I wonder why and am now trying to figure it out.
Yeah, will you earn more if your discussions are increasing? I also want to know this answer.

So do you mean to say that you rarely start new disucussions. You are right you get to find a lot of interests by commenting and responding to discussions .GOOD Luck !!!

Some days i do not start discussions at all.When i do start one its like 1-2 a day but mostly 1.

I usually post the disscussion as soon as it comes in my mind. I will not wait for a second at that time.Its all depends on when and how many disscussion comes in my mind at the same time.
If I am not able to start it at once then it will difficult for me to remember again the same topic.

Initially I have started 3-4 dicussions per day, but nobody responded to most of them, then I stopped starting discussions, but I keep on responding which I feel easier.

I usually post between one and three discussions a day. The success of those discussions can impact your earnings, but I strive for quality not quantity. I want my discussions to be ones that will engage people and I hope that they do.

I generally dont start a discussion unless i really feel it. Just for the sake of money i dont do that. I also see if it is useful or if it is worth to be discussed. So on an average i start seven to eight discussions in a week and i get a decent response. I'm happy the way it is going.

I think I start very few discussions here and I would rather just respond to their peoples discussions. I realized it is easier that way for me. I really don't like to start discussions that would not be interesting and would end up attracting zero or very few responses. So I just start them once in a while when i feel the topic may be of interest. Even then, I still don't get very high responses.
