Should Undesirable Criminals be deported even if it means the Death Penalty

Two middle Eastern Criminals were recently jailed (one for 5 years, the other for 4) for Drug Smuggling in the U.K. When there sentences are finished they are demanding the right to remain in the U.K. as they state that they could suffer the death penalty if they are returned to their own country.
Would keeping them in the U.K. on their release help as a suitable deterrent for others from their own country, or would it be seen that again the U.K. is too soft on criminals - domestic or foreign.

I know for a fact the if you are not a citizen here in the US, even a legal resident gets deported for a felon. The day after you have finishing serving your sentence here you are immediately deported back to where you came from no exceptions. Personally I think we have enough problems with our own criminals to worry about foreigners. The should have thought of the repercussions of the crime before they committed it.

Well I know what your trying to get at but now a days the crimes are getting worst day by day and the criminals are getting younger. Maybe 10 years back Id say no thats inhumane to do but these criminals know what rules they are breaking when committing these crimes and they also know what the penalty is as well but they still try so why should we show any feeling towards this? These people also put many innocent people in harms way while trying to commit these crimes so I feel nothing for them. I was'nt always good myself and I got caught up in some pretty crazy things myself when younger but everytime I was caught I took my punishment becuase I decided the stupid thing to do. Anyways for short if you commit a crime then be prepared to do the punishment no matter how bad it may be.
