Spring Break.. is it as good as it looks?

I live in the uk and as we are so tight upper lipped we don't have anything like spring break. I know watching it I always feel a bit of envy that I never had the chance to do anything like that. so please tell me its all a big show put on for us Brits and it is really not all that

No, not a big show. We are partying fools on spring break. It is a huge thing here in the states. A chance for everyone to let their hair down and have some fun with no homework, test or anything... just fun in the sun!

you are not helping my perception of it here, I am trying to make it sound pants so I dont feel to bad LOL I think we all need to let or hair down and PARTY from time to time

Hate to break it to you, but it is everything that you see on TV. I mean, from the fun and the different people you meet and interact with, the non-stop partying and clubbing, it's so much fun. I don't party like that anymore, haven't since I got out of college 2 years ago, but it was something we had to try at least once. But for the sake of your feelings.. "Yes, it's all a show. It's not very much fun at all. In fact, I think I came home one year with a very nasty infection..." ;-)
