In 1979 I went to the deeply vale free rock festival just on the outskirts if Rochdale, England. I was 14 at the time. It was the first time I ever went away with my friends camping for 2 days. A group of about 15 of us went. It was a life changing experience that we still talk about today.Some of the bands were the Ruts, Steve Hillage, tractor, The fall, the out, here and now, drutti column and many others.
