Countless studies and research have shown that kids who eat breakfast perform better in school and have a healthier diet. Eating breakfast will help promote the proper growth and maximize school performance as well.
Breakfast is often times a victim of the morning time crunch. Even though you may be tempted to skip breakfast, you can simplify your morning routine by following these 8 tips:
Finish homework and pack school bags at night.
Decide on what your children will wear to school before you go to bed and locate lost shoes for the following day.
In the morning, get up 15 minutes earlier.
Give up computer games and morning television.
Have healthy foods on hand. You should also shop for breakfast foods with your kids and take into account their personal preferences.
Set the cereal out the night before. For younger children, fill a zippered plastic bag with her portion, then add the milk in the morning.
Allow your children to use the microwave , as most breakfast foods can be prepared in under 5 minutes.
Allow your kids to eat in the car or on the way to school.
There are several foods that you can eat for breakfast, even leftovers from supper if they are sufficient. You can eat bagels, pizza with fruit juice, pretzels, or the normal bacon and eggs that breakfast is known for. Most foods are a snap to prepare, and won't take you but a few minutes.
The next time you are in a hurry in the morning, remember that you are probably about to skip the most important meal of the day. If you follow the tips above, you'll find that you have plenty of time for breakfast.

i always have to check my grand daughter if she has taken her breakfast before going to school. i am always reminding her mom to prepare the breakfast earlier so everybody could take anything before leaving the house. it's important to have something in the stomach as we start the day. the foods we eat in the morning usually give the energy we needed to accomplish many things for the day. likewise among our kids today, they should be given proper nutrition specially during breakfast to enable them to become active physically, mentally and emotionally.

I am very lucky to have a girl who is a good eater. I don’t have to worry that much on her eating as she will eat well. In the morning, I will wake her up about 45 minutes earlier so that she can have her breakfast and get dress to school. She hardly misses the breakfast.

I am a firm believer in breakfast. I do make sure that my children have proper breakfast before they leave for school. It is good start for their whole day at school.Whatever they eat after that I will not be too worried as they have had a nutritious breakfast from home. It has been proven that breakfast makes a child more receptive to his studies than those who go without breakfast. Both my sons whom I had taken good care of for their breakfasts have succeeded with flying colours in their studies and now are doing very well in their chosen careers. So mothers out there who have school going children, please make breakfast a MUST.
