Communication with our teenagers.

Lets face it communicating with our teenagers is hard sometimes they love us and sometimes they hate us. I have turned technology into my helper. I always asked my kids why they spend so much time iming. Now we do it. If my son or daughter is mad at me when each go to our rooms and discuss it through the computer or if they have a question that might embarass them to look me in the eye and ask the send me a text and we discuss it. I love it because it makes them feel comfortable and I still get them to open up without tempers flying. Although I still love talking to my kids face to face. I like that we now have a method that makes them feel more comfortable about opening up.

Yes it is rue communicating with teenagers are difficult. It seemed that you have found a way around the issue. It is diffentately worth trying. Thank you pal.

it is nice to hear from you again hope all is going well. I thought this was really neat and I know that alot of parents in this age of technolgy it is hard to communicate all the time with our kids. I know how important it is.

Communicating with our teens can leave us confused, frustrated and exhausted by the end of the conversation. While challenging at times, it is extremely important to actively pursue our teens and keep that door of communication wide open. Healthy communication is the key to any relationship.

ummm atleast technology is helping you reach out to them. we dont have a lot oc pc in the house and they dont have their own cellphone too. i am not that rich to provide them of those. we (me and kids) talked about things and a lot more about their everyday lives. they still ask help for their assignment. me and my kids have a good communication, and i think regardless of PM and email we get along. well whatever the means of communication you have with your kids, it is still important that you have communication with them.
