"It is quite ironic that in this country one needs to have a college education in order to have a decent job. Yet very few students can afford to send their children to college. Worse still, many college graduates are unemployable because they do not speak, read, write of compute like college graduates.
If I ask myself what part of my education...."
Interested? I know I am too. This is an article from sunstar. the link is http://www.sunstar.com.ph/static/ceb/2006/08/23/oped/orlando.p..carvajal.html
pls read this article. The author really took the words out of my mouth and wrote them down. this is really my sentiments regarding college. i'm so tired of studying. i don't even learn something. it's just a matter of self studying.

Since you are a Filipino, I would say that "NASA DISKARTE LANG YAN" some graduates are unemployed, some undergraduates are working and even a good job too. Paswerte lang...

i still believe in college education. besides, what company will accept undergrads anyways, it will be bad for their image to hire incompetent employees. if we dont need college education and nobody learns from it, then there would be no technology or so.

I am a 49 year old colege student. I have spent my entire adult life doing mundane things, like raising a family and running a household. I had never put my needs first, up until this year. I went back to school to give myself the satisfaction of learning something I was interested in. I want to start my own business, and getting a bachelor's degree will give me an edge that others may not have. I attend to my studies with relish, because I know that not everyone has the opportunity that I have. I am doing well in class, making the President's list again this term.
How ungrateful you sound by maligning the importance of a quality education. You don't know what sacrifices those of us without one have made to make sure that you have the opportunities to have one. If you don't want to study, quit and do something else. I am sure that someone else will gladly take your place and appreciate the privilege to learn more than the basics taught in high school.
