Do you use social bookmarking sites?

Those like http://del.icio.us/ or digg.com, they are social bookmarking sites and I recently start using them but I still haven't really figured out what they actually do. Do you use any of these? What kind of things do you bookmark? And do you even bookmark your website or blog content so that you could share with people online?
I barely started and still I am not sure if they would benefit me in some ways. What's your experience?

Good questions, good answers, now could you explain both of them to me? What is a web directory? What is social bookmarking? I had the same question in my mind, but I was afraid I wouldn't understand the answer, and I was right.
