i got a star!!

i am sooo happy!! i reached the 100 post today and saw a star and a rating beside my name!! i envy those users who had stars and ratings until a certain user told me that i have to reach 100 post before a star appears on my name. :-) :-)

What do the numbers inside the stars mean? I have seen those but was not sure what it was. I thought maybe you got one after being active for a certain period of time or having a good rating.

the star is a mylot rating. the number inside it, could be 0-10, with 10 being the highest... reflects the quality of your posts as rated by other mylot users. when you reach 100 posts, you'll also have a star rating. goodluck! :) by means of rating... you will see (+-!) signs at the end of each post. mylot users use this to rate the post, whether it's a discussion or a response or a comment. :)

thanks miles. by the way musikspiele, you can find out more about the DRS rating system at the FAQ here. next time you, respond or post, and you like the answer to your discussions or the comments posted on you, you can rate them using the (+) or (-) or if you think the respond is abusive you can choose the (!) mark. other users rate you using those signs too. happy posting!!

congratulations for having a star attached to your name. It is good to begin with 8. Post quality discussions and attain better star rating like red or even blue. to get that follow mylot guidelines fully.

wefwet, you get a star when you post 100 discussions. The stars have numbers and colours. You just observe other's stars and the colour and the number in it.

Congratulations!! You're a Super Star now LOL! It feels really good, doesn't it. I was so thrilled when I first got mine. Then I was even happier when I hit my 500th post. Wow I thought I would never get to that. My goal now is to reach my 2,000th post. That's a big number!

congratulations for reaching more than 100 posts and having a star rating already. you now have an 8 star which is good, it's 80/100. if you place your mouse at your star you'll see the percentage. :) i remember getting my first star too! it was also an 8. :) goodluck, keep it up and enjoy mylot. :)

almost but not quite. :) i really worked on my posts because from an 8, i wanted to be 9 and then 10. it helps having very supportive mylot users. if i was able to do it... so can you. :) goodluck and just enjoy mylot. :)

oh thats another tip here to know one's rating. as for you, you almost have a perfect rating your star is 98/100. which is almost perfect. i hope i can reach that too. cheers!!

I know how you feel because it's a very short time ago I felt the same. Like you I had an 8, a very good rationg for someone starting his myLot carreer. Continue your good labour and you'll climb up the ratings ladder. In truth, there are rumours about not so nice people that rate you minus everytime you disagree with them, but till now, I didn't cross their way and probably you wont neither. Happy starring!

Yes, those mean raters do exist. I also hope you do not run into them. I have and it was painful to watch my star go from a beautiful blue 10 to a 6. It has taken me a long time to get my star rating back up to a red 9. But don't let that slow you down. Keep posting, do your best every day, write your best each time and you will do well.

Good job at haveing eight has your star! When I started mine was yfive... That must meen those 100 posts must have had very high quality! Well good luck on getting that 8 to a 9!
