My new baby is G6PD. We learned this through the newborn screening conducted. I've researched on this and found out that this is common among asians. This condition cannot be healed but the food, medicines and other things that could worsen this condition should be avoided. How can i explain this to my child when she grows up specially on the things that she should avoid taking?

Thanks a lot. I know that someday she'll understand her condition but i guess it is still got to do with "way of life". The moment that she'll get used to it. But this still worries me. As a parent.

All you need is a professional guide and a very supportive family to help you in your childcare. I strongly believe that if you start explaining to your child in the time he/she is fully aware of her condition, then I believe that it's easy for your child to accept it. Just have faith and good luck!
