Reeds

As a complete beginner to the Alto sax I would be grateful for advice as to the best reeds for me. What strength etc. Many thanks.

I have played for 20+ years, I would recommend starting with either 1 1/2 or 2 strength reeds. As far as a brand goes, Rico is probably the most widely carried reed in the woodwind world. There are other brands, and I would ask at your local music store to see what they carry, but as far as personal preferrence, I would try the Rico's. ( I am in no way affiliated with Rico.)
