I'm from Guangzhou, China. It seems that lychee is the unique from our province. It tastes so sweet and juicy. It's much more tasteful if you put it into fridge. It's a nice fruit in summer. Have you eaten it before?

Yes I love it so much...Lychees are a delicious fruit, sweet and juicy as well...The inside may not always look appetizing to some people, but looks never judge a book by its cover..hehehe :) How to eat lychee here some tips... * Hold the lychee in your hand * Peel the lychee using your fingers to remove the bumpy shell * Eat the white/gray part of the lychee * Discard the shell and the seed when you are done

I have never heard of it but if it is sweet and juicy then I would love it. Maybe I will check the international grocery store next time I go there and see if I can find it there.

Yes I do. However, I like longan better. Somehow, I keep thinking these 2 fruits are a pair - though I don't think there is any relationship between the 2. But strictly speaking, I don't exactly fancy either of these fruits.:P

I prefer to lychee than longan, as lychee is easier to remove its shell and it's bigger. But people always say eating longan is healthier than lychee. I prefer the taste than the healthy issues.

I have eaten a lot of lychees in my life and it really tastes great. It is grown locally, and when in season, it is priced at a very much low price like thirty to forty pesos (Philippine pesos) A kilo or less than a dollar (US $). There are two types of lychees, one is the pulp can easily be separated from its seed, while the other one is opposite. There is no difference in taste, but I prefer the type of lychee where the pulp could easily be separated from its seed. Someday, I'd like to have an orchard of several fruits including this one, the lychee, so that I don't have to buy it in the market.

I am wondering maybe the lychees in Philippine are different from here. We have foreign lychees sold here. Maybe this is what you refer to?

I loooveee lychee.. They used to have it imported and then sold in the fruit markets. But haven't seen any of them recently. Most likely you have to get them from the store, but they only come in the canned form. I prefer cold fresh lychees. Yum.. I so envy you.. you can get it anytime!!
