Would you like the idea of adopting a child if you we're not given a chance...

Not every woman wants kids (some are happy not to have kids) but i think adoption would be perfect for those who want kids but cant have their own. The only downside with adoption is the HUGE cost that comes with it. You'd think the government would make it so that children without families could adopt them with the smallest possible expense. These kids deserve homes & if they made adoption cheaper, then the govern,ents wouldn't be paying so much money to keep orphanages open. The governments need to reduce the hassle & costs of adoption so there can be more children put in to good homes & less children living in the orphanages. Even though i have a daughter, i would absolutely adopt another child, although the number of people wanting to adopt (here in Australia) far out weigh the number of babies available - so here, you'd have to adopt from overseas & that's even more costly again :(

yes, I should love to adopt a baby, although I do have my own baby. My husband and I had plans to have one and adopt one. But the unfortunate part was none of our parents agreed with it. We thought it over. What if they treated the children differently. So, we just left it. Now, we are thinking about atleast being a sponsor to a child that deserves it.

I was told as a teen that I'd never have a child, so since then I'd always wanted to adopt, I knew I wanted to be a mom, whether the baby came from me or not. I now have 2 children, but I'd still adopt if I couldn't have more.

I have three biological children and would still like to adopt someday. I hate to think of children caught in "the system". Family is what you make of it, whether you are adopting or not.

I have thought about this before and thought that I would maybe want to but the more I think about it I'm not so sure. For me I would want a child that is my own blood, nothing against adopting I think people that do are great, but for myself I don't know if I would want to dump my own resources into a child that wasn't mine. I know this may sound selfish but thats kind how I feel.
