I just watched it and it was difficult to view I must say. Still I extremely enjoyed the movie and think it is well done. What do others think about it?

The only difficult scene to watch was Heath ledger in tears at the end, that was so sad, he missed Jake so much.I think it was a honest portrayal of the characters in that particular setting and time frame, they played out their character schisms very very well.I was happy for them when they were happy together, and very sad about all that kept them apart, including their own stigmas and memories.

I watched it alone, since my husband didn't want to see it, but I'll say that this movie was dealing with a very difficult subject matter. Difficult for those who don't understand it, but it is possible for 2 men to fall in love, and this movie portrayed that well, but also in a very sad way. There were so many times I cried watching this movie, and in many ways it makes sense. Whos to say that cowboys or any ordinary men with wives or girlfriends cannot fall for one another? It happens, I've seen this happen in real life, and it's something that many cannot understand. I believe when watching this, one has to have an open mind, because without an open mind you have no real understanding of what is going on.
