Do you respond to resolved discussions?

I've noticed severral times that discussions I'm responding to have already had a 'best response' chosen. Since I'm usually halfway through typing my reply, I finish and post it anyway.
Do you care whether you get best response? Do you avoid replying to discussions where best response is already chosen?

From the few discussions of yours I read since we 'met' the other day, I like your style. Some of your thoughts seem 'deep' and most of your posts are funny.
I don't feel it's important, but I enjoy being chosen for best response as it shows that the person liked what I had to say.

Sometimes, I respond to those discussions. Getting Best Response isn't all that important. But, a lot of the time, if the discussion is already resolved, it means that the person who started it is no longer monitoring replies and won't be commenting on my response or even looking at it at all.

most of the times, i hardly notice and evebn if i do it hardly bothers me as long as a good discussion. any discussion, which i find appealing is open for my posts. that is how it works everytime and anytime.
thanx.

I don,t really care if the discussion has already a best response choosen. I don,t answer to people thinking that maybe I might get a best response.
Of course I avoid replying to a discussion that as already a lot of people replying to it, because i'M almost sure that everything was already said.

It basically depends on how it was handled. I'll admit sometimes I don't notice but most of the time I do. It's ok to respond even if a best has already been choosen, many people on mylot do that. It helps the person who started the discussion.

I don't care whether or not I get best response. The whole point of myLot is to discuss things, not to get a best response. Ya know? So, if I feel like I have something to add, I'll go ahead and add it. Doesn't matter to me if I get best response or if one's already been chosen.

I am not one to count my best responses. They are nice to get however I don't see it impacting my earnings. I do not willingly respond to a best response decided discussion. Especially if it is within hours of starting. I don't answer any more of their discussions that day. It burns me when it is picked just because they responder agreed with them. The easy way out I think, why start the discussion? Anyway, I consider those discussions closed. What else is wanted or needed?

I respond if the topic is of interest to me be it marked BR or not. What I hate seeing is when some new members mark the very first one BR right away. But that changes in time with them. I don't strive to earn BR so I just reply to the topics that catch my eye. Thanks also.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

yes, if the topic of the discussion interests me and if I have something up my mind about the subject, i definitely respond to it even if the discussion has been resolved.
I would like more and more people to get to know about the kind of views I carry on the subject.

Well I normally don't see this. I like to respond to the discussion if I like it.

Usually I have responded because I was really
interested in the topic of the discussion and felt
i had something to add and then noticed that the discussin
had already given best response. I do not respond with the
idea in mind of getting best response, I just do it
with the idea of giving my best response to every
discussion that I respond to. this way I get a goodly
number of best responses and am pleased with that.
