Lucky for us, the bill failed to pass the Senate today. The final tally was 43-50. I know Rush Limbaugh likes to call this bill the "Destroy the Republican Party bill of 2007." It's more likely to destroy the United States social welfare net than anything. We couldn't possibly soak up the number of immigrants that this bill would create. Huge amounts of new taxes would be needed and low salary jobs would become even lower salaried jobs. The way the congress has been operating lately, though, it would seem that the overall objective is to make the United States less secure, less powerful, and much poorer. What are your thoughts?

We just need to make a decision to be a country with laws that are regulated instead of leanacy.
