The Calgary Stampede

I think it was in Calgary where I went to it, but there was a big rodeo and fair-type celebration and it was really fun. Yeah, the Calgary Stampede. I didn't think I would be into rodeos but it was a fun time. Canada and the Calgary area wsa beautiful and worth the trip. It was the first and only time I've been to a rodeo and want to go back someday. Fireworks show, chuckwagon races, rodeo, music, the midway, food . . . great times. Anyone else gone to it?

Yes! I was there a number of years ago, and I had a great time, too. I went with my husband and his family -- his mom was a really flamboyant type who loved to dress up for everything, and always go in style. So she rented us a stretch limo, and we loved arriving at the rodeo with everyone looking to see who the big shots were in the limo. Of course, his mom was dressed to the nines and talking to everyone about the family's western store business. It was just so fun! Calgary is a great town.
