Lucy, my depressed cat, is old and she's losing weight. We are worried since she doesn't want to play and drinks too much water, my mother thinks she might has diabetes... a diabetic person feels thirst a lot. This Saturday we are taking her to a pet clinic to make some exams, also blood sugar. I hope she has nothing... the problem is that she's also losing fur. I'm worried because she doesn't do things she likes to.

Get her to the vet immediately! I had a cat with those symptoms and he was in kidney failure :( He was 17.

Actually it's like more diabetes, but I already called the clinic and I'm going to take her this Saturday. I need my father to drive me there and he's free only on Saturdays.

Definitely get her to the vet as soon as possible. My 13 year old cat, Aurora, had similar symptoms and it turned out to be diabetes. Luckily, we don't have to give her insulin. We just had to adjust her diet and it straightened everything out. Btw, has she been urinating outside her box or walking on her haunches? Often, those are symptoms of feline diabetes.

I'm sorry for your cat... I have other 2, it'll be difficult to put her under a diet but we will manage if we need. She doesn't urinate outside the box and doesn't walk on her haunches, she has no other symptoms besides the ones I told.
