Does anybody feel caught in the middle of two people who dont like eachother??

I used to have a large group of friends all from my neighborhood. Whenever we did anything at all, even if it was just sitting around playing video games, all 6 of us would be there. Then 3 of my friends (we will say friends 3 4 and 5) started changing and started bothering friend 1. Now friends 3 4 and 5 are no longer friends with friend 1. Friend 2 and I are still friends with everybody (though friend 2 is not as good of friends with friend 1 as I am). Last night I said, dont call me tomorrow, I am going to call friend 1 because I havent talked to him since last week. Friend 3 says "Then it will be weird when you talk to him again", trying to convince me not to call him. This morning when I woke up, my mom says, "friend 3 called you". Am I being wrong for not calling friend 3 back, but instead calling friend 1? I havent called friend 3 back even though friend 1 is going to be busy for an hour or two. Do/did you have these sorts of situations? Isnt it so annoying to be caught in the middle??

no that doesnt make you upset. i feel that you are still friends with friend 3, so right now, you need to make up to friend 1. dont let your friendship with one friend effect your friendship with the rest. i know its weird and will be hard, but it can be done. just remember that everyone changes, just not at the same time. and that is is possible to outgrow a friendship.
