Volunteer Work

Does any body do any volunteer work?
I know that a lot do it, but honestly do you do it to enrich your CV or you're doing it from the heart to help people in need. I'm asking this question because volunteer work has spread between young people and if people are really doing it from the heart than I am really looking forward to the future. Please join this discussion and tell me what volunteer work do you do and honestly why are you doing it.

Welcome to myLot. I do volunteer work for the enjoyment of helping people. I volunteer to prepare taxes each year for middle and low income people. They are always so grateful and I feel good when I do it. I never thought I would enjoy doing taxes! Go figure!

i think if i were to do volunteer work is because i want to help those in need and contribute to the society. it's just unfortunate that at the moment i don't have any time to do volunteer work, although i'd love to someday! .
