For me it was a very strange story. I was about 10 years old when I started playing Fifa 97 and I always liked to play by Netherlands as they were a very strong team. I particulary like Dennis Bergkamp as I scored a lot of goals by him. Then came the 1998 world cup and finally I could see Bergkamp playing in reality I was amazed by his talent specially by his great goal against argentina in the quarter finals, so i started digging and found that he plays for Arsenal which then i didn't know anything about. After the worldcup my dad subscriped in cable TV and the EPL was broadcasted so I started watching Arsenal and I never stopped since then.
So how did you become an Arsenal fan? Please share your story.

I started supporting Arsenal when I was about ten years old. There was a documentary on television about Arsenal's triumph. I saw Tony Adam's lifting the trophy and Nicolas Anelka banging in the goals. Their style of play was amazing and since then I have never stopped supporting them.
However, I am pretty sad at the departure of Henry to Barcelona.

I have supported arsenal since i was 11. But it was the season 1997/8 that i really got into the team. It was ian wright's last season. There was soo many greats players such as wrighty, bergkamp, overmars, viera, petit, anelka etc. i watched world cup 98 and that is when i heard and saw the name, henry. I suddenly thought 'wow'.... this guy is a top top player. i even questioned myself, can he play for arsenal?? A year later he did but with anelka leaving before him. But that did not matter because he went on to become one of the best players of all time.
Long live Arsenal.

Funny enough, almost in the same way you did. After seeing Thierry Henry in the 1998 World Cup and thought he was amazing, I remember hearing that he transferred from Juventus. After that, I became more interested in Arsenal and the EPL in general and became a decent supporter of Arsenal. I didn't know too much about the EPL then, and I am still only learning a bit, but it's been fun following the Gunners.

For me it was because of "Le Sulk". Start watching EPL in '98 and was immediately drawn to Arsenal becuz of their style of play .. but what impressed me most was this young striker who had a great goal scoring ability .. Anelka disappointed me when he left Arsenal but i'll 4ever remember him as the reason i started being a gunner!!!
